Michael Ngugi, NP-C earned a bachelors degree in Education from the University of Nairobi, Kenya and a Masters in Education from Fontbonne University, St. Louis, Missouri. He earned a B.S degree in nursing through Barnes Jewish College and a MSN (Family Nurse Practitioner) from Indiana State University,Indiana. He is a  board certified nurse practitioner in Family Practice. He did his clinical rotations in Family Practice at Clarity Healthcare, Missouri and STL Health Health works (Urgent Care).

I graduated with my BSN and certification with a minor in Gerontology in 2002 from UNR and proceeded to work in the ICU for 13 years. I graduated with my MSN and FNP in 2015 from Kaplan, now Purdue, University. I have been working in the primary/internal medicine setting providing acute,chronic, preventative and women's health. Though I miss my patients, I am extremely excited about moving to WA, joining ZMC and the wonderful lifestyle the area allows for my family.

Pathologist | Anatomic Pathology & Clinical Pathology

 Dr. Gierl is a doctor who specializes in the study of bodily fluids and  tissues. As a pathologist, Dr. Gierl can help your primary care doctor  make a diagnosis about your medical condition. Dr. Gierl may perform a  tissue biopsy to determine if a patient has cancer, practice genetic  testing, and complete a number of laboratory examinations. Pathologists  can also perform autopsies which can determine a persons cause of death  and gain information about genetic progression of a disease.
